Software Engineer
Location: Headquarters in Santa Barbara, CA with the option to work Remote

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will help us design and implement amazing new features to ensure that we remain the undisputed leader in our industry. Your duties will include development, writing code, and documenting functionality.

You should be able to build high quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design.

Software Engineer responsibilities are:

Develop detailed software designs from requirements
Develop and execute Unit Tests
Pinpoint and resolve software bugs
Participate in code reviews: verify maintainability, extensibility and assure complexity has been minimized
Use software configuration management tools for issue tracking, source code control, documentation, and work flow management
Participate in team activities: Story pointing, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Planning, and Release Planning

Requirements and Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or relevant experience working as a Computer Software Engineer or Software Developer
Good knowledge to develop software in C, C++, C#, preferably with Microsoft Visual Studio

Experience using software configuration tools such as Surround and git.
Able to review code from other software engineers to company standards
Skilled in implementing and documenting all aspects of software testing, including unit, integration, and stress testing
Able to create and interpret complicated technical documentation in English
Experience with JavaScript/Typescript and/or F# desirable
Experience with software lifecycle process desirable
Experience building software distributions desirable

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $140,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Wyatt Technology is a total compensation company.
