Regional Sales Manager – Northwest
Based in a home office in Northern California

Wyatt Technology seeks to add a key member to its sales team. This opportunity is a field position based in the Northwest. The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales on Wyatt’s full range of products throughout the Pacific Northwest. The RSM will find and qualify potential prospects, coordinate sample analyses and demonstrations, seminars, and customer visits in order generate and close sales. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have extensive Scientific Sales experience with a proven record of introducing and selling new technologies in a highly competitive marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and exceed annual sales goals.
  • Develop and maintain superb relations with customers and potential customers.
  • Visit customers, to highlight Wyatt’s solutions to customer’s needs and challenges.
  • Build and maintain technical competency on Wyatt’s full range of products.
  • Monitor competitor activity and trends within the territory as well as providing accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts.
  • Travel as needed for sales meetings, trainings, and tradeshows.
  • Lead and manage the Northwest sales and support team to perform to their utmost ability.
  • Provide feedback and coaching for team and individual developmental opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field, preferably Chemistry, Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • Three (3) years of hands-on experience with light scattering, HPLC or related analytical instruments.
  • Minimum five (5) years of direct work experience in a sales or product services capacity in the analytical instrumentation market.
  • Proven track record of success selling in the past.
  • Knowledge of biopharmaceutical and polymer characterization techniques.
  • Experience with e-commerce and driving sales through secondary channels.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds unassisted.
